i miss this

I was checking some of the old photos from last year and I found these. I was in Taipei and this place was near where Ken used to live. The first time when we went there it was a bit old and soon after they renovated it to a smaller but more delicate place. It was my first time trying the rice porridge with sugar. At first I refused to try it but Ken insisted I try it. It was actually pretty good! And I fell in love with it ever since. And the beef roll... hmm, with slices of beef and some green onions with sweet flour paste, with cucumber slices and other stuffing, it was really good but rather expensive.

I think this kind of cuisines are from North East China, where people eat a lot of noodles and other food made of flour, such as meat buns, or with red beans stuffing, green beans, or sesame. They have other dishes too, like kung pao chicken, sweet and sour fish, like the other Chinese cuisine. I really dig this!

The photos remind me of that period of time that it only took you 5 minutes walk and there you could enjoy such delicacy. I'm trying to find the similar things here, but they are not as good. I showed these photos to my cousin who lives in Taipei and he promised me that he would take me to this kind of restaurant if I go visit them. Also Align Centerthere are several good restaurants too, for Beijing Roast Duck and the Japanese ones. I need to arrange my trip to Taipei soon!

Night night xoxo
